Head of Finance

We are looking for a Head of Finance to join our rapidly growing team in Old City, Philadelphia. Recently recognized as the 24th fastest growing software company in the U.S. by the Inc 500, the Head of Finance position will oversee all finance, administration, and operations for the company.  This person will report directly to the CEO and work alongside various leaders (Sales, Marketing, and Delivery) to strategically grow the business. The Head of Finance will be responsible for all assets, transactions, accounting, finance, collections and assist in providing a ‘Best Place to Work’ atmosphere.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for Accounting and Finance activities including frequent reconciliation of Accounting system to ensure accuracy and integrity of company financial health
  • Semi-monthly reconciliation of billable time against customer agreements and completion of a well defined invoicing process using an established time and billing system
  • Managing all activities associated with Accounts Receivable including collections when appropriate
  • Managing all activities associated with Accounts Payable including review of agreements, invoices, and expense reports
  • Managing budget and reporting process with all department leaders
  • Administrating and negotiating all health, retirement, and company benefits
  • Processing payroll and working with external parties to ensure painless process for current and new employees
  • Coordinating activities with external accounting firm to complete local, state and federal tax returns
  • Managing bank relationships including monitoring and monthly reporting requirements for company line of credit
  • Overall responsibility for purchasing and all signed agreements externally with vendors, partners, and stakeholders
  • Management and maintenance of all IT Operations functions including internal network, video conference facilities, company email system, company chat system, and their associated vendor relationships
  • On-boarding new employees and contractors with required documentation and training.
  • Maintaining company handbook, policies, and communication
  • Ability to effectively communicate and make decisions in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications:

  • Background in fast-growing software services companies with over $5M in annual revenue
  • Experience with the following: accrual accounting, close cycles, and financial reporting against company KPIs, forward-looking financial models, departmental budgets, 401k, and health administration
  • Basic contract negotiation skills
  • A college degree in accounting or finance, and at least 5 years of work experience
     

Performance Measurements:

  • Managing the G/A budget and maintaining expenses within KPI targets while maintaining an award-winning Best Place To Work environment.
  • Semi-monthly invoices and monthly statements are sent to customers in a timely manner with appropriate interest applied when necessary
  • Departmental Budgets and reporting processes are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Banking relationships and capital options are considered and understood annually
